About ΚΟΦΕΑ Skin
We are Despoina and Chrysa — two sisters with shared roots but different scientific paths. One a food technologist, the other a chemist. And yet, we found ourselves united by a common love for sustainability, science, and creation.
KOFΕΑ was born from this connection. Starting from our studies and our work with coffee — not only as a beverage but also as a raw residue — we began exploring how an everyday material can gain new, meaningful value.
Starting from coffee — a daily pleasure and at the same time a rich natural raw material — we give new life to what is usually discarded.
We are a team that blends science with sensitivity, research with creativity, and circular thinking with personal care.
The name KOFΕΑ is no coincidence. It comes from Coffea, the genus of the plant that produces the coffee cherries. With this name, we honor the natural origin of our raw material — not as a beverage, but as a valuable source of life, energy, and care.
KOFΕΑ brings together science and nature, investing in two core pillars: upcycling coffee waste and green chemistry. Every product we create is the result of research, circular thinking, and respect for both the environment and the body.

The Technology Behind
What makes us special(ist)
In collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, we developed a natural extract from upcycled coffee, rich in phenolics and strong antioxidant activity. Produced through green extraction methods, it shows high stability and integrates beautifully into clean beauty formulations.
